It Starts With a Conversation
Depending on how you find us, your first conversation may be with Trent over the phone or with me—Angie—by email.
We’ll ask a few questions about your home, what you’re hoping to achieve and whether there are any particular concerns you already know about.
You don’t need to have everything worked out before contacting us. You might know exactly what you want, or you might simply be looking at faded weatherboards and thinking:
“We really need to do something about this.”
Either is completely fine.
Our job at this stage is to learn a little about your home, answer your initial questions and arrange a suitable time for Trent to inspect the property.
Because we’re an owner-operated business, you aren’t passed from a call centre to a salesperson and then on to someone you’ve never met. You deal directly with the people who own the business and care about how your project turns out.
Trent Will Visit and Properly Assess Your Home
The next step is an on-site consultation with Trent.
This isn’t a five-minute visit followed by a figure scribbled on the back of a business card. Trent will take the time to inspect the surfaces, understand what preparation is needed and talk with you about the result you want to achieve.
He’ll consider things such as:
The condition of the existing paintwork
Peeling, cracking or deteriorated coatings
Weatherboard and timber condition
Timber windows, doors and decorative features
Mould, moisture or environmental exposure
High and difficult access areas
Scaffolding requirements
The most suitable paint system
Your preferred colours and finish
Any areas you may wish to prioritise
This is also your opportunity to ask questions.
Trent has worked on thousands of homes over the years, from modern family properties to detailed character Queenslanders. If something concerns you, there’s a very good chance he has dealt with it before.
And if he believes an area needs repair or specialist attention before painting, he’ll tell you.
We’d rather be honest at the beginning than discover a problem halfway through and pretend nobody could have seen it coming.
You’ll Receive a Free, Fixed-Price Quotation
Once Trent has assessed the property, we’ll prepare a detailed, fixed-price quotation.
We aren’t robots producing automated quotations at the touch of a button. Trent is still on the tools and personally involved in our projects, so putting together a thorough quotation can sometimes take one to two weeks.
We believe it’s more important to assess the project properly and provide clear, considered inclusions than to rush a vague price through.
If you’re working with a strict deadline, please let us know. Wherever possible, we’ll aim to have your quotation to you within the week.
The quotation clearly outlines what is included so you can understand exactly what you’re paying for. Exterior painting quotes can vary enormously, and quite often the difference isn’t simply the paint being used—it’s everything that happens before the paint is applied.
Preparation, access, repairs, masking, the number of coats and the products selected all affect the scope of the work.

Where appropriate, we can discuss itemised options or whether certain areas can be completed in stages. We’ll explain what can reasonably wait and what should be addressed sooner to prevent further deterioration.

Please Check Your Inclusions and Exclusions
We also encourage every homeowner to carefully read the inclusions and exclusions in their quotation before accepting it. We’re human, and while we do our best to capture everything discussed during the inspection, it’s possible that an item could be unintentionally missed.
If something you expected to see isn’t listed, please ask us about it. In most cases, we can absolutely include or complete the additional work. However, if it isn’t part of the accepted quotation, it will most likely be treated as a variation and may involve an additional cost.
We would always rather clarify something before the project begins than have either of us working from different expectations later.
Then Comes the Colour Decision
For some homeowners, this is the exciting part.
For others, it’s the point where sixteen almost-identical shades of white begin to cause a minor identity crisis.
The good news is you don’t have to make the decision alone.
Every exterior painting quotation includes a free in-home colour consultation with Trent. After working on thousands of homes, he has developed an excellent eye for colour and understands how different combinations work with a property’s architecture, roof, landscaping and surrounding environment.
He’ll also consider how colours respond to Brisbane’s bright natural light. A sample that looks perfect on a tiny card inside a showroom can appear very different across an entire exterior wall.

We’ll then confirm your preferred colours using physical samples and view them against the home itself, because that is still the best way to see how a colour will truly respond to the property and its surroundings.
We Plan the Practical Details Before Starting
Before your project begins, we’ll discuss access, pets, security, outdoor furniture, pot plants and anything else that could affect the work.
We appreciate smaller personal items being moved away from the house where possible. If you have larger furniture that is difficult to move, let us know and our team can help.
We’ll also explain which areas we’ll be working on and whether there may be temporary restrictions around doors, windows or pathways.
Most homeowners can continue going to work and following their normal routine while their exterior is painted. You generally don’t need to be home all day watching us—and we promise Trent won’t be offended!
The important thing is that everyone understands the plan before work begins.
If Scaffolding Is Required, We Organise It
Brisbane homes can be interesting.
We have elevated Queenslanders, steep blocks, two-storey properties and rooflines that appear to have been designed specifically to test a painter’s commitment.
We have a wide range of our own professional access equipment, including internal scaffolding, which allows us to safely manage many challenging areas. When certified scaffolding is required, we arrange it for you through trusted, qualified scaffold contractors.
You won’t need to find another company, explain the project again or coordinate several different trades. We’ll determine what is required and organise the process on your behalf.
Safety is always the priority. No paint finish is worth taking shortcuts with access.
Why Preparation Matters for Exterior House Painting in Brisbane
Preparation isn’t the most visually exciting stage, but it is the foundation of the entire project.
Depending on your home, our preparation may include:

What Happens After the Repaint?
A quality exterior repaint should continue protecting your home for years, but a little ongoing care makes a big difference.
We highly recommend an annual house wash to remove dirt, mould and environmental contaminants. This helps maintain the appearance of the paintwork and can extend the life of the coating system.
If your home includes timber windows, doors, decks or exposed timber features, annual inspection and maintenance are essential.
Timber will usually show early warning signs before major restoration becomes necessary. Taking care of small areas promptly is far easier and more affordable than waiting until the damage becomes extensive.
